Fallout 4 better loot mod. Correspondingly, Microsoft has faced out Windows XP, and is planning to stop Windows 7 as well. As the company’s focus shifts towards the more current versions, users need to move with the shift in order to stay updated and make the best use of their systems. If you have already upgraded your PC to Windows 10 but don’t know whether it’s activated, you can check the activation status quickly. Click StartSettings appUpdate and Security, and then select Activation. You’ll see the status of your Windows 10. If it is not activated, you need Windows 10 Activator software to do so. Otherwise, you will keep receiving many pop up messages reminding you that your Windows is not activated. Using an inactivated operating system is also risky as it will not be updated automatically to keep it secure and functioning optimally. Usually, there’s a watermark on the lower right corner of the PC’s screen indicating Activate Windows.

After this one-time process, you get lifetime access to all Windows 10 security and functionality features.

Good morning,First, my computer specs are shown in Signature Line below. I have been using this computer since it was purchased (refurbished) from U.S. Micro on e-bay back in December 2012 without incident. I registered the product key, etc, etc at the time I first turned it on and experienced no problems during or after the registration was completed. (Windows 7 Pro SP1 (64-bit) was already pre-loaded on the computer). Computer has functioned without any problems since I obtained it, and appears to be working fine.
At the moment. The only application update done yesterday was for the upgrade to Apache OpenOffice v4, done via the Secunia PSI program.
No new programs have been downloaded for over 3 months. Secunia reports all programs are up-to-date.This morning when I turned it on around 4:30 a.m., I noticed the message shown in the attached screenshot, on the lower right corner of the Desktop screen. My questions: Can anyone explain WHY I am suddenly seeing this annotation on my Desktop screen, and what should I do about it, or is this some system 'glitch'?Computer came with a 90-day HARDWARE ONLY warranty, which expired some time back.(This machine also came with two (2) DVD's. 1 says Windows 7 Pro, 64-bit software, the other is labeled Windows 7 Pro 32-bit software.
Both have statements saying, 'Intended for distribution with a refurbished PC'). This is a 64-bit machine, so I'm a little confused about the DVD's.AV, MBAM Pro, & SAS scans return clean. This is disturbing. I cannot ascertain WHY.after over 7 months of owning this machine.I am suddenly seeing the aforementioned message. I've done some checking, but can find no outright complaints about U.S.
Micro using pirated Windows 7 Pro software, and have no reason to suspect they are.Thank you for your time and any assistance with resolving this issue.Pete C. Thanks very much for getting back with that info, CWB!U.S. Micro specifically states they provide NO software support. They only provided hardware support.and that expired about 90 days after this machine was purchased. MS Support's phone lines don't open until 6 a.m. (PST), so I have about 2 1/2 hours before I can try to get any help there (I'm on the east coast). I did go to support.microsoft.com and entered the refurbished product key shown on the Microsoft sticker on the side of this computer, into a box for the system to check.
It returned a message saying it could not find that key. Don't know if that is because this is a refurbished machine or what. Thanks again!Pete. The way i see it, u.s.micro has a vested interest in this issue. Unhappy customers, os activation and legitimacy problems, license/software (disk) purchasing problems, software logistics.by 'no software support' i would take this to mean specific problems with the os and the machine it is run on or other os and program manufacturer problems.they sold you a product in 'good faith'. This means correct and proper basic functioning of the machine.in the past i have used those os software packs that you mentioned (and labeled as such).
There have been no issues to date.i installed one about two weeks ago. It activated ok.logic dictates that if the activation key was invalid, it would show up right away.i have seen this happen after removal of certain infections.also, i had a glitch on one of my xp machines after doing some updates (about four years ago).i do recall.something. about the type of issue you are having occurring with machines that were not 'refurbs' nor 'contaminated'.maybe ron or david can shed some light on this. Hi again CWB and daledoc1,( daledoc1): I visited the sevenforums site, however for some reason (despite allowing all javascript in FF browser), the ' word check' security part of the registration process is NOT working. I complete all the fields it has, but there is NO challenge word, captcha, etc even shown for me to enter manually. Clicking on the ' Complete Registration' button at the bottom only generates an error message that the word string I entered does not match what is shown.yet there IS nothing being shown!Looks like that source of help is a bust. Thanks for the link just the same.I will try doing a RESTART of the computer to see if that changes anything, however I imagine there is the possibility the machine may not work again and I have NO idea how to go using these 2 Win 7 DVD's to do a complete reinstall, if the restart attempt locks up my computer.EE. Sounds as if NoScript or a similar extension might be blocking some of the content on the registration page?Try disabling that extension or anything like it.Or try another browser to register. In any event, if you run the requested MGADiag tool (link provided in my earlier reply), the log it produces will provide the experts there, here and at MS with the info they need to sort this out.Without that info, it's really just speculation and unlikely anyone can provide a definitive explanation or resolution.
Hello friends,This is my first post in this forum.I came across this topic when searching to buy Windows 7 for my PC. Just for information, I am looking to buy Windows 7 Pro/Ultimate 64-bit Retail version because I want to install and activate it on my current PC as well as on the new PC that I will be buying this year.
No OEM or upgrade, just the full retail version. However, I am not able to understand this sentence: 'Intended for distribution with a refurbished PC.' Could anyone please tell me what is the exact meaning of this, and the limitations it may have? Or will it meet my requirement mentioned above? The above seller looks decent to me, both from price and autheticity point of view, so I was thinking if I could go ahead with the purchase.
But just because I don't understand the meaning of the above line I am waiting. I have dropped the queries to the seller too though and waiting for his reply. But since this topic has a mention of this sentence, I thought to check if anyone could please guide me on this.Any advice would be very appreciable. Please let me know if you need more details.Thanks.P.S: Sorry if posting link is not allowed.
.Helpful resources.General rules. Follow. Keep it civil and on topic. It was activated before this and now it isn't? I did just change the motherboard of my pc. Is that the reason? Wtf microshit? What version of Windows and what type of Windows license did you have?As it's been pointed out, Microsoft has always considered something as substantial as changing the motherboard/cpu a 'new' computer.A retail license of Windows is able to transferred to new hardware. An OEM license cannot be transferred to new hardware.
A 'system builder' license (kinda OEM) can be transferred depending on the version of Windows.A Windows 10 upgrade from 7, 8, or 8.1 can be activated on a new machine if you were using a Microsoft account and had the digital entitlement to Windows 10 activation.

I just want to post an update about what happend.
As non of solutions worked I tried to find fix online. I found a program that would remove it I ran the program and it started messing with my computer. It restarted and when it came on screen would flashbetween my default color theme(green) and desktop background. I tried to use installation disk and refresh my PC but it said that disk was locked. I had so many problems that I decided to go back to windows 7, so I did.
I might go back to windows 8.1 insome point in future but that is not going to be very soon.
RECOMMENDED:With over 800 million PCs running Windows 10, Microsoft’s Windows 10 is the world’s most popular computer operating system. It’s also the last version of Windows operating system as Microsoft will update Windows 10 (for free) rather than releasing a new version of Windows. Most of the home users have upgraded to Windows 10 using the free Windows 7/8/8.1 upgrade offer that Microsoft had started along with the release of Windows 10. In fact, even today, PC users with genuine copies of Windows 7/8/8.1 are allowed to upgrade to Windows 10 for free although Microsoft has officially stopped the free upgrade program about a year ago.
One can also use genuine. How long can you use Windows 10 without activation?Well, we cannot say for how many days one can use Windows 10 without activation as Windows 10 seems to work without activation for years. Since inactivated Windows 10 install doesn’t stop working or booting up after x number of days, it’s hard to tell how long one can use Windows 10 without activation. That said, if you would like to run Windows 10 without any annoying messages and want to have access to all its settings, you need to activate Windows 10 from day one only. What happens when you run Windows 10 without activation?Windows 10 displays “Activate Windows.
Go to settings to activate Windows” watermark at the lower right corner of the desktop when running Windows 10 without activation. When you are running an unlicensed copy of Windows 10, you will get “Windows isn’t activated. Activate Windows now” message at the home page of the Settings app. You will get “You need to activate Windows before you can personalize your PC” message on all pages under the Personalization category. When it comes to functionality, you won’t be able to personalize the desktop background, window title bar, taskbar, and Start color, change the theme, customize Start, taskbar, and lock screen. However, you can.The Settings Update & Security Activation page also displays the “Windows is not activated” message if your Windows 10 is not activated.Additionally, you might periodically get messages asking to activate your copy of Windows 10. This might annoy you as the message might show up in the middle of your work. The biggest issue with an unlicensed copy of Windows 10 probably is not being able to personalize Windows 10. All other features will work just like on a licensed copy of Windows 10. So being not able to personalize and that nagging watermark are the main (only?) issues when using Windows 10 without activation. We here at IntoWindows strongly recommend you activate your copy of Windows 10 right away by buying a legit/genuine copy of Windows 10 either from Microsoft Store online or from a retail shop.
How to check if your Windows 10 activated?is easy. Navigate to Settings app Update & Security Activation page to know the current activation status of Windows 10 installation. If it’s activated, don’t forget to link Windows 10 license to your Microsoft account to avoid activation issues if and when you change your PC’s hardware. You can also use the official. How to activate Windows 10?Step 1: Navigate to Settings Update & security Activation page.Step 2: In the Activate Windows now section, click the Change product key link, type the product key, and then click the Next button to activate your copy of Windows 10.
Please note that your PC must be connected to a working internet connection in order to activate Windows 10.
